Baileys Harbor’s PC Junction is a must-visit destination for families traveling to Door County, Wisconsin. We recently named this train-themed restaurant the top family-friendly restaurant in Door County, and for good reason.

The highlight of dining at PC Junction is watching model trains deliver food to diners right at their table. The main dining room has doors that double up as table tops and model train tracks. Each table is named after a town in Door County, adding to the unique experience of dining here. Once you’ve placed your order with the friendly wait staff, you can listen out for the announcement of the “next train bound for Fish Creek.” As your drinks arrive via the model train, kids and adults alike will be thrilled to see the train circle the tables carrying action figures and even a bubble machine!

It’s not just the novelty factor that makes PC Junction stand out – their food is delicious too. Although many themed restaurants may falter on the food quality, this is simply not the case at PC Junction. They have a strong kids’ menu and their burgers and fries are some of the best in Door County. We highly recommend trying their chili, which can hold its own against any other chili in the peninsula. They also have a bar area that serves a selection of beers, wines, and cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. And don’t forget to finish your meal with one of their locally sourced ice creams.

PC Junction has a variety of seating options, including outdoor seating and a second-floor dining room in addition to the main dining area. However, we highly recommend waiting for a table in the main dining room, even if there is a wait. It’s worth it for the unforgettable experience of having your food delivered by a model train. If you do decide to wait, there are plenty of outdoor activities to keep the family entertained, including a train playset, life-size chess set, swings, slides, and a creepy old bus. I have enjoyed watching my kids build up the courage to explore the bus over the years.

The number one draw outside the restaurant, though, is their pedal carts. They have singles, doubles, and four-person pedal carts and a wooded trail to ride them on. Our family enjoys putting in a few laps and building up our appetite for lunch. Even on the busiest days, our kids have not complained about waiting since they were fully entertained.

If you’re planning a family trip to Door County and want to have a memorable dining experience, make sure to visit PC Junction in Baileys Harbor. With its train-themed decor, delicious food, and unique delivery system, this restaurant is sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike.

WeWisconsin Tip:

A WeWisconsin tip is to pair a visit to PC Junction with a visit to The Farm in Sturgeon Bay in the morning and Cave Point after lunch. We like to start a day by getting to the farm early in the morning and then heading north to Baileys Harbor and arriving at PC Junction prior to the full lunch rush taking place, we then go hike around Cave Point to burn off lunch. Often this kid-focused day ends up being a highlight of a trip to Door County.
